Course program
First Lesson: Introduction and painting a zesty tangerine.
In the theoretical part of the lesson we will cover the following:
- Tools and materials for the course
- How to choose the right equipment
- Exercises for setting the hand and types of brush strokes
- Mixing colors (Itten's color wheel)
Then we will continue to painting a tangerine ‘a la prima’ technique and learn the basics of creating the volume and shape using just basic colors, light, and perspective on the canvas. We will bring the theoretical knowledge of Itten’s color wheel into practice.

The purpose of this lesson is to combine the knowledge of chiaroscuro (light and dark), aerial perspective, volume and create a more complex work that will expand your skills in acrylic painting.
Second lesson: Landscape
Third lesson: Bright Parrot
The purpose of this lesson is to get away from the classic rules of chiaroscuro (light and dark) and allow yourself a little more, having worked with bright, juicy shades, without limiting yourself to simple combinations.
The purpose of this lesson is to learn the rules of creating sunset and realistic water as well as working with creating realist objects in light. We will analyze the color scheme and how it affects the ways of conveying the mood of our picture.
Fourth lesson: Seashell
Fifth lesson: Provence
In the final lesson, we combine all the rules of perspective and create an inspiring landscape with mountains and flowers somewhere in Provence.
What is included in the course:
Five 3h art sessions
All materials: canvas 30x40cm, acrylic paint, use of brushes etc
A printout with theory basics and pictures of the future artworks to look at

Hello! My name is Anastasiia Kharina and I am the founder of Art Space in Luxembourg! For the last two years I organize art workshops in Luxembourg which eventually developed into opening an art studio in Neudorf. I speak English, French, Ukrainian and Russian.

Cancellation Policy
Please note in case of missed class the fee cannot be reimbursed. In case you need to cancel your participation in the course please note that we accept 10 days’ notice in order to reimburse 100% of the amount and we can reimburse only 50% after this date and 0% from the start of the course.
