Lesson 1: Introduction: Materials, Color Theory, Light & Brushwork
- Overview of essential tools: brushes, surfaces, mediums
- Understand oil behavior: drying time, layering, fat over lean
- Explore color mixing, value, and temperature
- Practice brushstroke exercises + paint simple light & shadow forms
- Learn to observe and sketch real-life objects
- Focus on composition and light direction
- Block in major color areas
- Practice layering from dark to light
- Project: small still-life painting with 2–3 objects
- Study natural forms like leaves, flowers, and stems
- Build form using texture, color variation, and edges
- Experiment with expressive or realistic approaches
- Project: botanical painting using layering techniques
- Choose your own subject: portrait, abstract, still life, etc.
- Plan sketch, color palette, and composition
- Apply techniques learned throughout the course
- Project: final artwork on canvas or panel to take home
- Extra time to refine your final project or start a new painting

The course teacher - Rebeca
Rebeca is a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts, currently based in Luxembourg. Her work moves between painting, illustration, and tattooing, with a strong focus on line, texture, and contrast. Deeply inspired by the natural world, she often draws from botanical forms and animals to create detailed, expressive imagery.
Specializes in traditional techniques such as ink drawing and linocut printmaking. Combines graphic precision with organic and emotional elements. Experienced in collaborative projects and passionate about art education

Cancellation Policy
Please note in case of missed class the fee cannot be reimbursed. In case you need to cancel your participation in the course please note that we accept 10 days’ notice in order to reimburse 100% of the amount and we can reimburse only 50% after this date and 0% from the start of the course. Missed workshops cannot be recovered.
