Have you ever seen an oil painting with thick, visible brush strokes and paint that looks so textured it’s almost three dimensional?

Impasto is an artistic technique, where paint is laid on an area of the surface thickly, usually thick enough that the brush or palette knife strokes are visible. The effect that impasto can give, is one of dynamism – of movement and energy. This technique was used by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Pollok!

Impasto is one of the most popular art techniques today. Now, you have a chance to give it a try and enjoy the mediative effect of mixing thick layers of oil paint on canvas just like the greatest artists of the past century. You will be painting with brush and various palette knives.

We have everything covered! What is included in price:
· A glass of wine or soft (tea, coffee, cola etc), a cheese/charcuterie or vegan platter to share
· Art materials: canvas 40x50, oil paint, textured paste, and any tools you need
· Wide range of art designs and step-by-step guide on how to paint the artwork
· Guidance and support by the professional artist

All of our paint designs are broken down by level, and come with detailed illustrations on how to paint them. You will also be painting under the watchful guidance of the artist at the event. The entire artistic retreat is designed for your enjoyment – so come try out a new hobby, or improve your existing skills!

Cancellation policy: Inform us at least 24h in advance to move your reservation or get reimbursement. Art Space cannot reimburse your participation after this date.
Photographic consent: We may invite photographer to the event to take photo/video for promotion purposes. If you don’t want to be on photo – please let Art Space staff know. Otherwise, we’ll accept your consent by default to use the photo on our website or social media.
