Course program

Students will progressively develop their ability to observe, mix colors, and apply brushwork techniques while painting objects from life. Each session builds on the previous one, gradually increasing in complexity to enhance confidence and skill.

Soft Beginnings – A Single Orange 🍊
  • Introduction to acrylics, brushes, and mixing techniques.
  • Observing light and shadow on a simple round object.
  • Painting a single orange on a neutral background, focusing on form and blending.
  • Understanding transparency and reflections in water.
  • Learning subtle color transitions in petals and glass effects.
  • Painting a single tulip in a glass with a soft shadow.
  • Understanding composition with multiple elements.
  • Loosening brushwork to depict organic shapes.
  • Painting a wildflower bouquet in a decorative vase.

  • Exploring textures: smooth porcelain, liquid, and fruit.
  • Capturing highlights and reflections in ceramic and metal.
  • Painting a still life with a vintage teacup, a lemon slice, and a teaspoon.
  • Capturing the soft, flaky texture of a croissant.
  • Depicting warm tones and delicate shadows.
  • Painting a final still life featuring a croissant on a plate with a small jar of honey and a wooden honey dipper.

The course teacher - Nina Kokhtashvili
A graduate of the School of Fine Arts, she developed her personalized style working in oil paint on canvas and producing portraits in the “Dry brush” technique. Inspired since her childhood by mythology, she projects the magical and mysterious spirit in these creations.
Filigree patterns, fine lines, transparent details add a touch of sensual femininity to all of these works. Member of the European Academy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Inspiraria exhibits these works in his native country and in Luxembourg.

Since 2018 Nina has been practicing the Neurography method and is currently studying to expand this knowledge in the field of psychology and art, to become an Art therapist.

Cancellation Policy
Please note in case of missed class the fee cannot be reimbursed. In case you need to cancel your participation in the course please note that we accept 10 days’ notice in order to reimburse 100% of the amount and we can reimburse only 50% after this date and 0% from the start of the course. Missed workshops cannot be recovered.
