Acrylic Resin Coasters, 28 September

Have you always wanted to learn how to make your own Terrazo-style coasters that are taking over interior design feeds? Acrylic Resin is a versatile material, made from a compound and a water-based resin that will create a different effect each and every time, its hard to make two completely identical. The best thing to note about this product is safe and nontoxic; and extremely environmentally friendly too! This type of coasters can be used as traditional cup coasters or can be used to place little trinkets, rings, coins, which are perfect for your office tabletops, and even as a soap dish to brighten up your bathroom decor!

What is included in price:

• A drink of your choice (soft or wine, beer) and light finger food.
• Materials: silicon coaster moulds, Acrylic One material, wide range of color pigments, gold leaf etc
• Each participant will be working with four most popular silicon moulds : 1 x round resin mould, 1 x square resin mould, 1 x hexagonal resin mould and 1 x oval resin mould. Possible to opt for a shell mould
• We will educate you on what the correct measurement of each component is, how to weigh it, mix it, add colors and textural effects to create one-of-a-kind unique coasters
• We will show you four unique techniques: Terrazzo technique, Marble technique, Gold Leaf technique, Abstract Design technique
• You will make 4 coasters in the workshop and we will also show you how to sand your coasters and seal them to make them spillproof as well as pass on our tried and tested tips.

All of our paint designs are broken down by level, and come with detailed illustrations on how to paint them. You will also be painting under the watchful guidance of the artist at the event. The entire artistic retreat is designed for your enjoyment – so come try out a new hobby, or improve your existing skills!
